The Local 2718 Executive Board is looking for your input with regard to quarterly meetings. If you have a suggestion about when and where you'd like them to be held, look for the survey coming out to all dues-paying members, or just leave a comment right here on our blog. Labor Management Forums Set to Begin this Month!
USCIS District 14 Director Lori Pietropaoli has set the date for the first long-awaited labor management forum! The Local 2718 Executive Board will join District 14, ICE, and Asylum management on Tuesday December 11, 2012 for the first meeting in what we hope will be a long-standing cooperative process.
In December 2009, President Obama released Executive Order 13522, Creating Labor Management Forums to Improve Delivery of Government Services. The forums are intended as a non-adversarial place for managers, employees and union reps to discuss issues in order to develop joint solutions.
