Labor Management Forums Set to Begin this Month!
USCIS District 14 Director Lori Pietropaoli has set the date for the first long-awaited labor management forum! The Local 2718 Executive Board will join District 14, ICE, and Asylum management on Tuesday December 11, 2012 for the first meeting in what we hope will be a long-standing cooperative process.
In December 2009, President Obama released Executive Order 13522, Creating Labor Management Forums to Improve Delivery of Government Services. The forums are intended as a non-adversarial place for managers, employees and union reps to discuss issues in order to develop joint solutions. Please see the full Executive Order at this link: http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/executive-order-creating-labor-management-forums-improve-delivery-government-servic
As always, contact your union reps with any issues you'd like to see addressed.

Our next quarterly meeting will take place in January 2013. See the link to the right to read the minutes of today's meeting.
