Training on Hiring Process for CIS Employees

Human Resources Briefing for Employees – All employees are invited to a webinar sponsored by the Central Regional Office, in conjunction with the Human Resources Operations Center, Burlington, VT.  This briefing will outline the federal hiring processes and practices.  It will cover various types of position announcements, hiring authorities, common documentation required, timelines to apply, qualifications and many other issues associated with seeking a federal position. This briefing will be conducted by Senior Human Resources Staffing Specialists.

Staff members from the Benefits & Retirements and Classification Branches will join in to allow for a broader range of questions and answers.  All personnel who may be considering applying for another federal position or who may have previously applied and have questions about how it was conducted should attend.

Following the short presentation, the floor will be opened for questions.  If you have questions in advance, you are encouraged to provide them now so that they may be prepared with responses on the day of the event.  This briefing is being offered in order to help all employees better understand the hiring process and prepare themselves for future career opportunities.
